Welcome to Gulf Music Live (“Gulf Music Live,” “GML,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). Gulf Music Live is a free community resource designed to help people discover live music throughout the Gulf Coast and to help musicians, venues, and other members of the local music community connect with audiences.
By accessing or using GulfMusicLive.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.
1. Use of the Site
Gulf Music Live provides live-music event information, performer and artist information, venue information, location information, and related content for informational and discovery purposes.
You are welcome to:
- browse and search the Site;
- use GML to discover live music;
- share links to GML pages;
- share GML’s social-media posts;
- link to GulfMusicLive.com;
- use GML as a resource for finding musicians, venues, and events; and
- provide corrections or updated information about events, performers, or venues.
GML is intended to be a free resource for the public and the local music community. We encourage reasonable personal and noncommercial use of the Site.
2. Event Information and Community Sources
Gulf Music Live’s event information is compiled from information provided by or obtained from musicians, performers, venues, promoters, public listings, websites, social-media pages, submissions, and other sources.
The underlying facts concerning an event—such as the identity of a performer, venue, date, time, or location—may originate from those third-party sources. Gulf Music Live does not claim ownership of underlying facts merely because GML has collected or published them.
GML does, however, devote substantial time and effort to gathering, verifying, organizing, updating, correcting, and presenting event information and maintaining its overall live-music calendar and related resources.
3. GML’s Compilation and Original Content
The Site contains original content and substantial compilations of information created, selected, organized, edited, formatted, and maintained by Gulf Music Live.
To the extent protected by applicable law, Gulf Music Live and its owners retain rights in the Site’s original content and in the selection, coordination, compilation, organization, arrangement, formatting, presentation, and other original aspects of GML’s content and database.
This includes, as applicable:
- the structure and organization of the GML calendar;
- the selection and arrangement of listings;
- the organization of events by date, time, location, performer, and venue;
- original descriptions and editorial content;
- original graphics and other visual content;
- GML’s artist and performer pages;
- GML’s venue pages;
- GML’s location pages;
- the structure and presentation of related Site content; and
- other original content created by GML.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to claim exclusive ownership of facts that are not themselves protectable under applicable law.
4. Sharing and Linking to Gulf Music Live
Gulf Music Live encourages people to share GML’s content in ways that help promote local music and direct people to the musicians, performers, venues, and other members of the community represented on the Site.
You may create ordinary hyperlinks to GulfMusicLive.com and may share GML’s social-media posts.
If you share or reference GML content, please preserve any applicable attribution and do not imply that Gulf Music Live, its owners, or the musicians and venues listed on GML endorse your organization, business, product, or service unless they have expressly agreed to such an endorsement.
5. Restrictions on Copying, Republishing, and Repackaging
Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by written permission from Gulf Music Live, you may not:
- reproduce, duplicate, copy, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of the GML calendar or other GML compilations;
- systematically collect or extract event listings from the Site;
- reproduce GML’s calendar or substantial portions of it on another website, application, social-media account, newsletter, publication, database, or other service;
- create a competing or substitute event calendar substantially derived from GML’s compilation;
- systematically copy GML’s selection, organization, arrangement, formatting, or presentation of event information;
- use GML content as a source for regularly generated or automatically generated lists that substantially reproduce GML’s compilation;
- use automated systems to collect or extract substantial portions of GML’s event, performer, venue, or other Site content; or
- use GML’s content for commercial republishing, redistribution, resale, promotional content, or another commercial service without permission.
These restrictions apply whether GML content is reproduced verbatim or is reorganized, summarized, reformatted, or otherwise repackaged in a manner that substantially reproduces GML’s compilation.
These restrictions are not intended to prevent ordinary individuals from using GML as a resource, discussing local music, sharing individual event information, or linking people to GML.
6. Automated Access, Scraping, and AI Systems
Gulf Music Live does not prohibit ordinary human use of the Site or ordinary search-engine indexing.
However, without prior written permission, you may not use bots, crawlers, spiders, scrapers, automated browsers, AI agents, automated research systems, data-extraction tools, or similar technologies to systematically access, collect, extract, reproduce, or compile substantial portions of GML’s content.
This restriction includes automated extraction of multiple individual event pages, performer pages, venue pages, or other Site pages for the purpose of creating, maintaining, training, populating, or supplying another database, calendar, website, application, publication, social-media account, AI-generated list, or other service.
This restriction applies whether the resulting information is reproduced verbatim or is reorganized, summarized, reformatted, or otherwise incorporated into another compilation or service.
The fact that information is publicly accessible on the Site does not constitute permission to systematically extract or republish substantial portions of GML’s compilation.
GML may use technical measures, including rate limiting, access controls, robots directives, firewall rules, or other reasonable measures, to protect the Site from excessive or automated extraction while seeking to preserve ordinary public access and search-engine discoverability.
7. Commercial Use
Gulf Music Live is provided as a free community resource. That does not mean that GML’s compilation, organization, or labor is offered as a free commercial data feed.
Commercial use of substantial portions of GML’s content or compilation – including use to create promotional materials, commercial calendars, newsletters, websites, applications, databases, AI-generated content, or other commercial products or services – requires prior written permission unless otherwise expressly permitted by these Terms.
Attribution alone does not necessarily constitute permission for commercial republication or substantial reuse.
Organizations and businesses interested in using GML content in a manner not expressly permitted by these Terms are encouraged to contact Gulf Music Live to discuss permission or an appropriate arrangement.
8. Attribution
Where Gulf Music Live content is used with permission, GML may require reasonable and prominent attribution and, where appropriate, a link to GulfMusicLive.com.
Attribution should not be presented in a manner that suggests that another person or organization independently created or compiled material substantially derived from GML.
9. Accuracy of Event Information
Gulf Music Live makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate and current information, but live-music schedules can change.
Events may be:
- canceled;
- postponed;
- rescheduled;
- moved to another location;
- changed in start or end time;
- changed in lineup; or
- otherwise modified after information has been published.
Though we make every effort to do so, GML cannot guarantee that every listing will always be accurate or current.
GML may add, modify, remove, or decline to publish any event, performer, venue, or other listing at any time.
If you notice an inaccurate or outdated listing, please contact Gulf Music Live so that we can review and, where appropriate, update the information.
10. Third-Party Information and Links
GML may link to websites, social-media accounts, ticketing services, performer pages, venue pages, and other third-party resources.
Gulf Music Live does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, policies, or practices of third-party websites or services.
The inclusion of a third-party link or listing does not necessarily constitute an endorsement or guarantee by Gulf Music Live.
11. No Guarantee of Availability
Gulf Music Live may modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the Site or its services at any time.
We do not guarantee that the Site or any particular feature, listing, page, or service will always be available or uninterrupted.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided for informational and discovery purposes.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gulf Music Live makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, availability, or suitability of the Site or its content for any particular purpose.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gulf Music Live and its owners, operators, contributors, and affiliates will not be liable for losses or damages arising from reliance on event information, including changes, cancellations, errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in event listings.
14. Enforcement and Permission
Gulf Music Live reserves the right to determine whether a particular use constitutes prohibited systematic copying, extraction, republication, or commercial reuse.
Gulf Music Live may grant written permission for uses that would otherwise be restricted by these Terms.
Gulf Music Live may revoke or withdraw permission previously granted for any use of GML content at any time and for any reason.
Permission for one use does not constitute permission for unrelated or future uses unless expressly stated.
15. Changes to These Terms
Gulf Music Live may update these Terms of Use from time to time.
When changes are made, the updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Your continued use of the Site after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
